  • IP-Based Location: If GPS is unavailable, we may use your IP address to approximate your general location (city/region level) to provide relevant transit information.

3. Usage Data and Analytics

  • App Usage: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages or screens you visit, features you use, buttons you click, and reports you submit.
  • Device Information: We may collect device information such as device type (mobile, tablet, desktop), operating system, browser type, and screen size.
  • Analytics: We use analytics services (PostHog) to understand how users interact with our Service. This helps us improve the app's functionality and user experience.

4. Report Data

When you submit a report about train or bus arrivals, we collect:

  • The train line or bus route
  • The station or bus stop location
  • The direction of travel
  • The arrival status (on-time, delayed, early, cancelled, or arriving)
  • The crowd level (empty, moderate, crowded, or packed)
  • Timestamp of the report

This data is used to provide real-time arrival estimates to other users of the Service.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Display train and bus arrival times, help you find nearest stations, and enable report submissions

  • Data Retention: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Report data may be retained to improve arrival time predictions.
